In-Person Worship: Target Date

Posted by Union Chapel Communications Team on

While we deeply desire to return to in-person worship and activities at Union Chapel Indy, we want to do it safely. As leadership decides when we can safely return to such events, we will consider all government guidelines and mandates, data from trusted resources, denominational guidelines, and suggestions, as well as our own capacity to manage such an endeavor safely.

Given the current rise in COVID-19 cases in the state of Indiana, and the age of many of Union Chapel congregants, and the ongoing construction inconveniences at the church at this time, we (Pastor Elizabeth in consultation with Staff and Unified Council Members) have postponed in-person worship until at least September 1. Please stay tuned to Union Chapel messages for updates or changes to this timeline.

In the meantime, staff is working on a detailed plan to ready the building and Union Chapel's processes so that when the date arrives that we feel we can safely return, all will be ready. This includes facility safety, cleanliness, and signage, as well as appropriate training for staff and volunteers.

As we wait to return to in-person worship and activity, we remain active as the church. Thank you for your ongoing care of each other, friends, and neighbors. Thank you for your prayer for each other, this ministry, and the world. Thank you for joining in worship via YouTube and Facebook. Thank you for your financial gifts that keep Union Chapel's ministries and mission viable and vibrant. Thank you for your witness in the world for the love of Jesus.

As you have needs, questions, or concerns, please be in touch. You can reach Pastor Elizabeth or any staff member through the church office, (317) 846-3429.
