Pastor Elizabeth Gilbert joined the staff and ministry of Union Chapel Indy in 2020, bringing with her a passion for Jesus, the church, and those who are yet to connect with faith. 

 

Pastor Elizabeth is what some call a ‘cradle Methodist,’ having been born into a family with a strong Methodist heritage. She was raised in the faith and confirmed in the Methodist tradition as a youth, and then took her first church staff position as a young adult. Pastor Elizabeth has led a variety of ministries and initiatives including in the areas of welcoming and hospitality, church communications, and contemporary worship. She loves to craft and lead creative worship, as well as help people outside the church find their way into a meaningful relationship with Jesus and the local church.

 

Pastor Elizabeth is married and has two adult sons. One son is married and they both have fur babies. She and her husband love all things mid century modern, and when she is not buying, selling, or trading mid century wares, you will probably find her in her favorite chair reading a good book.
